Winter Stories: Marking a New Year

As we sit on the edge of 2008 and prepare to step forward into the unknown that awaits us in 2009, I am curious...

What calls to you from the other side?

Are there visions of your future that beckon you forward, inspiring a quickening within you?

What are you leaving behind in order to become who you are being asked to become?

Are you feeling awake and ready for what is ahead? Are you tired of the old and ready for the new?

Or are you feeling like you would rather curl up in a ball and sleep for a few more months, perhaps holding onto life just as it is?

How do you honor this milestone of a New Year in your own life?

Please write and share your answers to any of these questions with me. I look forward to hearing your stories of transition and transformation!

Blessings to you all for a joyful and abundant New Year,
Megan

  1. My answer to the question " what calls you from the other side?":

Seeds! Today, for the first time in months, the temp reached 60 degrees. As much as I love winter, the sun and muddy snowmelt made me a little spring feverish.

I started thinking about what I plant and here is my Spring Seeding List:

Red, white and pink flowers, basil, eggplant and tomatoes and a deeper honoring of how I connect to nature.

I have harbored some judgement and some competative feelings aboout how I am with the earth. My New Year's intention is to honor my own ways of being close to nature: slow and plodding and observant.

    Timely question.

    Thanks!
